Welcome to the Life of Love Project
Honoring the Memory...making new ones!
Andrew Pierce Wells
The Fourth of July, 1996 until Memorial Day, 2003

Andrew's young life, was not only full of love given to him,
but full of love because
he gave unconditional love to everyone he met!
Andrew had Three main loves in his life:
Jesus
Family and Friends
Playing Ball (any kind)
When Andrew was five and half years old, he got sick and was later diagnosed with Mitochondrial Myopathy, a progressive, often fatal disease. On May 26th, 2003, he lost his battle and skateboarded (his wish) right into his Freedom in Heaven, he was almost seven years old.
In the days and weeks prior to his death, he saved his energy for what he loved best...visiting with family and friends, getting excited about going to live with Jesus and playing ball, even if he could only do it for a minute or two.
At Andrew's memorial service, which we affectionately called "Freedom Fest", in leiu of flowers, we asked friends to bring a ball, which we donated to an inner-city school in Memphis, Tennessee, where we lived at the time.
The ball donation was such a success that when the anniversary of Andrew's death came around in 2004, we decided to make it an annual event.
This was the birth of the Life of Love Project. To date, over 1000 balls have been donated in 14 countries, worldwide! Visit the Testimonials page to hear about the ripple effects of the Life of Love Project.
Please consider making the difference in a life of a child by doing something as simple as buying a ball. Many people get thier group of friends or sunday school to take it on as a group project.
